My name is Elizabeth Myers. I'm also known as Elizafox. See here for the definitive pronounciation and spelling guide.

Welcome to my homepage. It's kind of Spartan, not from lack of ability or imagination, but simply because that's my preference. I use no JavaScript, just plain old HTML 5 and CSS, out of choice as well. And yes, the pride flags above are in CSS. And I even verified the dimensional accuracy of them all! They should be a roughly 2:3 aspect ratio, like most flags.

I was created in 1991 in Waterloo, Iowa, United States; but I grew up in the Chicago metro. I've lived many places since then, but right now I live in Seattle, Washington.

Yes, this website is very purple. No, I am not a pimp. I just love purple and always have.

About me

My pronouns (yes I have pronouns, deal with it) are she/her or they/them.

A brief summary of my identity can be found here.

I'm presently freelancing but looking for work, you can find my résumé here.

Projects

I have worked on many things, past and present.

Present

Plans

  • I plan on building a better version of my old project, Weatherbox, like so
  • I eventually want to make my own chat protocol as the existing ones are terrible; but I need the energy to do that, and I need help to be honest
  • I want to learn how to weld and do machining, when I have the resources and space to do so

Hiatus

  • I co-founded Adélie Linux with A. Wilcox, but I'm busy with other things right now
  • Weatherbox, a project to make my own weather station; it's presently mothballed in my previous hometown

Past

  • Former committer to Atheme, an IRC services package
  • Former committer to Charybdis, an IRC daemon derived from ircd-ratbox
  • I used to maintain some FreeBSD ports, but no longer
  • I have also contributed code to the FreeBSD kernel to enable backlight support on Intel laptops, but, I don't think that code's used anymore
  • I formerly contributed to Gentoo Linux, but the entire project's politics left such a bad taste in my mouth, I nearly left tech entirely
  • I've contributed to Alpine Linux in the past
  • I have contributed code to the Linux kernel, but mostly to just enable a device I needed years ago
  • I wrote an IRC library for Python called PyIRC once, but I don't use IRC much anymore
  • I ported Python-ecsda to Python 3
  • I formerly worked on Python bindings to cld3, but Google have their own now and mine are unnecessary
  • I was once chair of a non-profit called the Interlinked Foundation, but I ran out of steam and COVID took the wind out of my sails
  • I've worked on various Minecraft mods and even made a few of my own, back when I played lots of Minecraft
  • I've done lots of other little things, most of which I've forgotten

Shameless plugs
